Amiguitos del Océano

Our three-step method is easy and interactive.

Many children in rural coastal areas of Ecuador are unaware of the reality that our oceans live, for that reason we use a three-step method that allows us to communicate what is happening on the seabed, but also encourages a change in a didactic way.

SENSITIZATION AND AWARENESS

During the mornings, the Amiguitos del Océano talk will be worked with children from local schools, and in the afternoons the documentary Despertar Azul will be screened to young people and adults, with emphasis on fishermen.

HANDS ON

After the talks and playful work, we will schedule a beach cleanup together with the community, to emphasize what actions to take on the problem that has been treated.

ECOMURAL

At the end of the beach cleanup, the waste will be separated to be used in an ecomural. These ecomurals will be a milestone reminding the population about the reality of the sea and the impact of garbage.
